In this really weird way, I’m still happy for you. I’m satisfied that for once you’re the one doing what you want to do and not just going along with my demands. Like of course I’m sad and disappointed, but your happiness is really important to me. In the past you’ve always just said I should make all the decisions and you’d play along with it, but now you’re taking your stance and doing something for yourself. With all I’ve done to you, how I’ve treated you, I think you’ll be happier off without me. And that’s reason enough to make me smile.
